Applying Lean for Improved Operational Health
October 6-10, 2008, Nashville, Tennessee

Today's healthcare organizations are under extreme pressure to improve the health of their patients as well as the health of their bottom line. And, as modern treatments become exponentially more sophisticated, the systems required to manage them must be able to adapt and keep pace.

As a result, it has become essential for the healthcare and medical industry to develop an approach to improve operational efficiency while creating a culture of continuous improvement. Highly successful organizations are applying the principles of Lean and Lean Sigma and have been rewarded for their efforts.

If your organization has been successful implementing Lean, your story could help another organization get their program started or moved to the next level.

For this event we are seeking the best of the best --industry and thought leaders whose messages will provide audience members with the latest thinking. Our goal is to provide timely, useful, inspirational sessions that will help conference participants move their organizations forward.

And we need your help! Productivity Inc. invites you to join us to share your expertise and experience in the areas of Lean and Lean Six Sigma at this upcoming event.

What’s in it for me?

Many people find it difficult to ask this question, but it is a valid one. Our conferences provide a wonderful environment to share ideas, techniques and the challenges of process improvement. Hundreds of people come together to network, benchmark, share their own stories and learn about Lean. You will not only present your perspective but you will receive valuable feedback and input from others on how they manage their own difficulties and successes. And, as a speaker, you and your team will receive a complimentary two-day registration.

Proposal requirements: Please provide the following to our office:

  • Presentation Title
  • Brief written presentation summary
  • Biography of the speaker(s)
  • Sample slides, handouts, etc.
  • Length of presentation (1 hour case study and 4 hour mini-workshop sessions are both available)
  • Brief description of your company (include # of facilities, # of employees, product(s), etc.)

Please note: Consultants interested in presenting must do so with a client. Please include the name of your client company and contact information in your proposal.

Selection Criteria

Presentations should focus on implementation of Lean and Lean techniques and should emphasize “how” you achieved your results, not simply what results were achieved. Presentations will be selected based on the appropriateness of the topic, evidence of achieved results, how well the topic aligns with audience member needs and should be led by individuals instrumental in the implementations being presented. Team presentations are welcome.

Each conference is an educational event. Speakers should not use the podium for self-promotion and should not under any circumstances promote any product or service from the podium.
